Hypnosis helps you to overcome the tendency to be in two minds. Hypnosis helps you to align your logical thoughts with your emotions and to focus more clearly upon your goals. When your mind is extremely focused you can have the determination and will power to do endless things; to achieve happiness and success in abundant quantity. And yet when your mind is lacking in clear focus or vision, you can find yourself floundering and at a loss to know in which way to turn. At other times you can find that your logical mind is clearly focused; you know exactly what you want, but you cannot convince yourself that your dreams will materialize. You are lacking in conviction because your emotions are telling you a different tale to that which your logical desires are craving. At such a time you know beyond a doubt what it feels like to be in two minds.
The quest to overcome those hidden emotions and tune out those distracting inner voices can take you on an endless emotional roller-coaster, particularly when you don’t know where to get started. You want to get your emotions to align with your logical desires and yet it seems easier, and more instinctive, for your logic to give in to your emotions. Where there is a conflict between your logical will power and your emotions, your emotions will be the victor. Thus whenever you want to gain some resemblance of control over your own mind, you will find that your emotions need to be addressed. What is required is to find a way in which to create a different emotion, to create a different feeling, whenever you are planning to take logical steps towards a goal. It helps to involve your imagination in this process. As you begin to picture something in your mind’s eye and to hear the sounds associated with it, you inevitably involve more of your senses; you begin to feel something different.
Your imagination provides a doorway to your emotions, and the more vivid you make your visualizations, the more intense the emotional response will become. By seeing it, you begin to believe it, whatever it may be. Hypnosis can lend a particularly helpful hand in this process. Hypnosis is a state of relaxation which allows you to access your subconscious mind where your habitual thoughts and beliefs are stored. Your subconscious mind is the part of your mind which acts instinctively and automatically; it is also the more creative part of your mind. In using hypnosis you will find it far easier to align your conscious and subconscious mind, your logic and your emotions and to add intensity and vividness to your visualizations. Loved the information on this blog FancyFree. Thank you for putting it all together. Thank you for your comment! Yes, I feel it’s important to make the distinction because of the difference in cultural values between the Greeks and Romans. An outstanding example of that is the difference in their regard for the god Ares/Mars. The Greeks considered him a blood-thirsty thug, whereas the Romans revered him. One wonders if it wasn’t that reverence for Mars which give Rome the power to conquer so much of the world. But I do prefer the culture of the Greeks. Very good that you distinguish between Greek and Roman gods; most people treat them like they’re the same. BrickHouseFabrics: Thankyou for your comment.
It is quite uncanny to see how these myths link to our inner personal environment. As I was growing up and hearing stories about the gods and goddesses, I found myself just naturally attracted to this one or that one. Later, when I was taught Astrology, I found out that the ones I had been most attracted to as a child were also the most prominent and harmonious planets in my chart. It was quite a revelation for me. Thankyou, I never thought of the names of the planets as being the names of gods and goddesses, in this way. Thank you for leaving a comment. Hi jptanabe, thank you for leaving a comment. This certainly has some astrologers miffed. Two things I can say about it. Pluto certainly is a powerful force, both in my own chart and it would seem in the world also, considering the events and discoveries that took place during the time of his discovery. Other than the classification of dwarf planet, I’ve also heard consideration of the classification asteroid. I’m not sure if either one is yet official. I don’t really consider Pluto particularly subtle though, not like the asteroids. Fascinating account of the Gods in Astrology. What do you think it means that Pluto got declassified as a planet – reduced in status to this new classification of a “dwarf planet”?
